Registered Nurse – PCU

TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) to deliver high-quality nursing care to patients who are transitioning from critical care but still require close monitoring. The ideal candidate will have strong assessment skills and clinical judgment to support patients with complex medical needs.
Job Responsibilities
• Monitor patients with moderate to high acuity needs, including cardiac, respiratory, and post-surgical conditions.
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry readings and respond appropriately to changes.
• Administer medications, fluids, and treatments as ordered by physicians.
• Coordinate patient care with the interdisciplinary team, ensuring effective communication and continuity of care.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, responses, and care plans accurately and timely.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Assist in the implementation of emergency interventions and respond promptly to deteriorating conditions.
Qualifications
• Active RN license in good standing.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in PCU, telemetry, or acute care nursing.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
• Familiarity with telemetry equipment and intermediate-level patient care protocols.
