A Brief Overview
As a Registered Nurse in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit, you will deliver exceptional nursing care by assessing patient conditions, coordinating with healthcare teams, and providing comprehensive support to patients and their families.
What you will do
• Deliver patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions and communicating care plans effectively with the healthcare team.
• Develop individualized nursing care plans through evaluation of medical histories, patient examinations, and collaboration with families.
• Educate patients and their families on healthcare goals, medications, and self-care skills, ensuring they have the necessary information.
• Monitor and evaluate patient care by adhering to established standards and protocols, continuously assessing and modifying care as needed.
• Ensure a safe and healthy patient care environment by following infection control policies and medication administration guidelines.
• Document patient care services accurately to maintain comprehensive patient and departmental records.
• Manage patient care equipment and supplies, ensuring readiness and appropriate maintenance.
• Stay current with nursing competencies and practices as guided by leadership.
Essential Qualifications
• Ability to work the specified hours with visual acuity sufficient for performing duties and effective communication skills.
Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
• Registered Nurse (RN) with an active license in the state of practice upon hire.
Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
• 1-3 years of experience in a clinical environment.
