Work Shift: Primarily days with night, weekend, and holiday on-call involvement (United States of America)
Pay Range: The pay range for this position is $32.50 - $48.50. Actual pay rate depends upon experience.
Position Highlights:
May be eligible for a sign-on bonus of $15,000!
Student Loan Repayment: This position may qualify for Avera's Student Loan Repayment Program, helping you pay off your loans with an additional monthly payment of $167 (up to $10,000) contributed by Avera.
Work hours include 8:00 am with varied time off; call time is 1-2 days per week and every fourth weekend.

A Brief Overview
As a Registered Nurse in the PACU, you'll deliver exceptional nursing care by assessing patients, developing nursing diagnoses, and setting care objectives. You will provide comprehensive support—physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual—to patients and their families while ensuring adherence to care standards.
What You Will Do:
• Review physician prescriptions and communicate the nursing care plan to the healthcare team.
• Develop nursing care plans based on medical histories and examinations, documenting physical and psychological assessments.
• Educate patients and families on care goals, medication, and self-care techniques.
• Adhere to therapeutic standards and evaluate patient outcomes against care objectives.
• Maintain a safe environment by following infection-control protocols and legal regulations.
• Document patient care services accurately.
• Ensure patient care equipment is operational and well-maintained.
• Manage supplies by anticipating needs and ensuring adequate stock.
• Stay current with nursing practices and competencies as required by leadership.

Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice upon hire.
Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
• 1-3 years of experience in a clinical setting.
