This is a part time position, 0.5 FTE. 2 x 10 hour shifts/week with start time 0800.
This position is for Pre-Admission Testing/Preoperative Services and includes optimizing patients prior to day of surgery through clinic visits and preadmission phone calls.
Pay Range
$37.50 - $56.25
Registered Nurse (RN) - Pre Admission Testing
Chicago, IL (Lakeview Neighborhood)
Part time; 2-10's a week with start time of 8AM
Where You Will Work:
The Registered Nurse will be responsible for ensuring patients are ready for planned surgery by obtaining patient's medical history/medications, providing education on surgery/anesthesia and ensuring pre surgical testing is complete. Includes optimizing patients prior to day of surgery through clinic visits and preadmission phone calls.
We're Looking For:
• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state of Illinois
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association and ACLS.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience PACU or ICU preferred
What You'll Do:
• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
