Registered Nurse – Psych

TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse – Psych to provide high-quality psychiatric nursing care to patients in an inpatient or outpatient behavioral health setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in mental health care and a commitment to patient safety, emotional support, and therapeutic engagement.

Job Responsibilities
• Conduct assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans for patients with psychiatric or behavioral health conditions.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses, including side effects or changes in mental status.
• Monitor patients for safety concerns, initiate crisis interventions, and respond to behavioral escalations as necessary.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated mental health care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient behaviors, interventions, and outcomes.
• Provide patient education and support regarding diagnoses, medications, and coping strategies.
• Support a therapeutic environment through patient advocacy, group facilitation, and active participation in care planning.

Qualifications
• Active RN license in good standing.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in psychiatric or behavioral health nursing preferred.
• Current BLS certification; certification in psychiatric/mental health nursing (PMHN) is a plus.
• Strong communication, observation, and de-escalation skills.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care and behavioral health regulations.
