Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Pulmonary / Medical-Surgical Location: Gainesville, FL 32614 Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM Schedule: Full-Time | Rotating Weekends Position Overview A large acute care hospital in North Central Florida is seeking an experienced Pulmonary Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join its inpatient care team. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to adult patients with pulmonary and complex medical conditions in a fast-paced hospital environment. The ideal candidate is clinically confident, compassionate, and able to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within an interdisciplinary team. Important Notes • Candidates must live within a commutable distance of the facility (no more than 60 minutes) • Must be comfortable with a 7:1 nurse-to-patient ratio • In-person interview required prior to offer (may include shadowing, facility tour, and leadership interview) Key Responsibilities • Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care to adult medical-surgical and pulmonary patients • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and identify patient needs and clinical priorities • Analyze assessment data to develop appropriate nursing diagnoses and care plans • Implement and evaluate individualized care plans based on patient condition and goals • Advocate for patient safety and quality outcomes as part of the interdisciplinary care team • Monitor patient responses to treatment and intervene appropriately • Provide clear communication and education to patients and families • Accurately document care and clinical findings in the electronic medical record Required Qualifications • Minimum 1 year of RN experience required • Active Florida RN license or approved multistate (compact) RN license • Compact license holders must obtain Florida licensure within 60 days of relocation • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing • Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of start • Ability to work independently and manage patient care autonomously For more details reach at jmckenzie@navitashealth.com About Navitas Healthcare, LLC: It is a certified WBENC and one of the fastest-growing healthcare staffing firms in the US providing Medical, Clinical and Non-Clinical services to numerous hospitals.
