We're searching for a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intellectual and Developmental Disability (IDD)Services team in Carmichael, CA, where you'll play a vital role supporting adults and adolescents with intellectual disabilities and complex medical needs in our residential program.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
• oversight of LVNs at 4 residential locations.
• collaborate with doctors and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and assist staff with medical concerns.
• teach medication certification classes to (Direct Support Professional) DSP staff.
• spend time between the office at assigned residential program and the 3 other residential facilities, ensuring comprehensive care and support.
• oversee and monitor medication supplies, follow up on LVN orders.
• coordinate care for clients.
• advise DSP staff on the need for urgent care or hospital visits for clients.
• comprehensive training provided
Earn $55/hour.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
• Degree from an accredited school of nursing.
• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.
• 6 months experience working with developmentally disabled populations required.
• Comprehensive training provided
• You will work 8:00am-4:30p Monday-Friday - No weekends or holidays!
Skills needed
• Strong knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in patient assessment, care plan development, and admission/discharge activities.
• Ability to contribute to interdisciplinary programs and teach nursing curriculum to staff.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
