Pay Range: $32.50 - $48.50

Position Highlights
• Join a dynamic team working 12-hour shifts, rotating between inpatient rehab and inpatient medical-surgical at Avera Specialty Hospital.
• Participate in an every 4th weekend/holiday rotation.

A Brief Overview
As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver exceptional nursing care by developing individual nursing diagnoses, establishing care objectives, and defining interventions. You'll provide comprehensive support to patients and their loved ones, helping them understand their conditions, medications, and self-care skills, while also monitoring for changes in patient conditions.
What you will do
• Provide patient care by assessing physician prescriptions and effectively communicating the nursing care plan to the healthcare team.
• Develop individual nursing care plans through thorough medical histories, patient examinations, and documentation of conditions and social factors.
• Educate patients and families on healthcare requirements and self-care skills, ensuring understanding and addressing any questions.
• Evaluate patient care by adhering to established therapeutic standards and modifying care plans as necessary.
• Ensure a safe and healthy patient care environment by following infection-control policies and adhering to legal regulations.
• Document patient care services accurately in patient and department records.
• Maintain patient care equipment and supplies, ensuring readiness and functionality.
• Continually enhance nursing skills through ongoing education and mentorship.
Essential Qualifications
The successful candidate must be able to meet the hours specified and perform all essential job functions effectively. This includes having visual acuity and effective communication skills to interact with patients and the healthcare team.
Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice upon hire.
Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
• 1-3 years of experience working in a clinical environment.
