We are looking for seasoned Registered Nurse for our Client, a private day and boarding school for students with developmental disabilities, located in Westchester, NY.
Schedule: 3 shifts for 12hours, either 7:00am-7:00pm or 8:00am - 8:00pm.
Please note there is no public transportation to the work site. Please have a reliable car.
In this role you will be responsible for providing front direct and indirect nursing, medical and overall proactive wellness support both on and off campus, guiding and mentoring students, assisting with emergency response procedures.
An ideal candidate for this role would have an Associate's Degree, or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, from an accredited nursing program; Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of New York, and a minimum of three (3) years' experience as a registered nurse; experience in pediatrics preferred. Experience working with adolescents and young adults on the autism spectrum or/and psychiatric patients is preferred.
Job Duties include, but not limited to:
• Provide comprehensive nursing care and manage IHCPs in collaboration with families and school staff.
• Administer medications, monitor for adverse effects, and maintain accurate records.
• Conduct daily health checks, triage illnesses, and respond to emergencies; coordinate care with providers.
• Promote preventive care, health education, and safety; support daily living activities as needed.
• Document interventions in electronic health records; protect confidentiality.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and administrators to support IEP goals and transitions.
• Coordinate referrals, appointments, and transportation; assist with accessibility and accommodations.
• Train staff on health topics, emergency procedures, and allergy/seizure management.
• Ensure compliance with health regulations and school policies; participate in quality improvement.
• Maintain licensure, stay updated on best practices, and participate in ongoing education.

The salary range for this position is $115000-$115000/year
