Job Description: RN – Short Stay Position Overview TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced RN – Short Stay for travel assignments. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing short-term hospitalization, outpatient procedures, or recovery after surgery. The ideal candidate has strong assessment skills, experience in fast-paced environments, and the ability to provide efficient care in a limited time frame. Responsibilities • Provide preoperative and postoperative nursing care for short-stay patients. • Monitor vital signs, pain levels, and post-procedure recovery progress. • Administer medications, IV fluids, and other necessary treatments. • Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and follow-up instructions. • Coordinate with physicians, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams. • Ensure proper documentation of patient care, assessments, and treatments. • Assist in discharge planning and coordination with outpatient services. • Travel to various healthcare facilities for assignments. Qualifications • Education: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license. • Experience: Minimum 2 years in a Short Stay Unit, PACU, Med-Surg, or similar setting. • Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; PALS preferred. • Skills: Strong critical thinking, multitasking, and communication skills. • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift patients, work in high-stress situations, and move quickly. • Travel Readiness: Open to temporary travel assignments.
