Registered Nurse (RN) - Surgery Department in Hills, MN

Location: Avera McKennan Hospital Worker Type: Regular Work Shift: Primarily days with night, weekend and holiday on-call involvement. Pay Range: $32.00 - $48.00 (Actual pay rate dependent upon experience) Position Highlights Join our dedicated team working 12-hour shifts M-F from 0630 to 1900, totaling 36 hours per week. A Brief Overview As a Registered Nurse, you will provide exceptional nursing care by assessing patient needs, developing care plans, delivering physical and emotional support, and educating patients and families. What You Will Do • Deliver high-quality patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions and collaborating effectively with the healthcare team. • Develop comprehensive nursing care plans based on thorough assessments and patient histories. • Educate patients and their families on healthcare requirements, medication, and self-care techniques. • Evaluate patient outcomes against care standards and adjust care plans as necessary. • Maintain a safe and healthy environment by adhering to infection control policies and legal regulations. • Document all nursing care services accurately in patient records. • Ensure functionality of patient care equipment through proper maintenance and troubleshooting. • Manage inventory of patient care supplies efficiently. • Stay current with nursing practices through ongoing education and competency development. Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience: • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license from the Board of Nursing in the state of practice is required upon hire. Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience: • 1-3 years of experience in a clinical environment is preferred.
