Registered Nurse (RN), Wound Care at North Alabama Medical Center summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Wound Care provides comprehensive nursing care and wound management for patients of all ages, adhering to clinical guidelines and institutional policies. The role involves collaboration with healthcare teams, maintaining accurate patient documentation, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Continuous education and critical thinking skills are essential to deliver safe, effective care in a sometimes stressful environment.
03132 RN-Wound Care
The Wound Care RN is responsible for all assigned nursing care activities to include but not limited to wound care for patients of all ages and other clinical activities associated with providing safe patient care. The RN is responsible for following all WHC policies and procedures, care protocols and
Diversified Clinical Services Practice Guidelines, as directed by a Registered Nurse, or Physician. The RN will be responsible for assisting with patient and wound care data conferences, and continuing education is required as determined by the Program Director.

Associates Degree in Nursing Required;
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred.
License:
Current RN to practice in the state of (NC)
Certifications:
BCLS
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Essential Functions
1. The RN must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients served on his/her assigned unit as described in unit based competencies, policies and procedures.
2. In collaboration with other staff members, provides bedside patient care, implementing the interventions identified in the plan of care, as directed by physician.
3. Ensure appropriate patient care documentation.
4. Implement and assure compliance with wound center and hospital policies and procedures.
5. Maintain familiarity with regulatory standards.
6. Report quality of care issues to clinical manager or Program Director.
7. Ensure availability of necessary equipment and supplies.
8. Communicates with all team members regarding therapeutic interventions.
Non-Essential Functions
1. Other duties as assigned.
