Join our Team as a Dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) - Wound Care & Ventilator Specialist! We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) with expertise in wound care and ventilator management. Position Overview As a vital member of our clinical team, you will report directly to the Nursing Supervisor. Your focus will be on providing exceptional nursing care tailored to the individual needs of each villager, thereby enhancing their quality of life. You will manage complex wound cases and provide care for ventilator-dependent individuals. Why Join Us? • Base Pay: $38.21 - $44.30 per hour, depending on experience (before shift differentials). • Shift Differentials: Additional $3.00 per hour for PM shifts and $2.00 for NOC shifts, as well as $2.00 for all weekend hours. • Overtime: Earn overtime pay for hours worked beyond 8 hours in a day. • Benefits: Comprehensive county benefits for 50% postings or higher, including eligibility for the Wisconsin Retirement Pension at 60% (24 hours/week). Your Key Responsibilities: • Deliver personalized nursing care by assessing and evaluating villager needs based on care plans and preferences. • Provide specialized wound care, including assessment, dressing selection, and infection monitoring. • Care for ventilator-dependent individuals by monitoring settings and conducting respiratory assessments. • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, supporting effective communication among the care team. • Educate team members on best practices in wound care, ventilator management, and person-directed living principles. • Engage in team meetings and contribute to care planning and quality improvement efforts. • Supervise and mentor Nursing Assistants, fostering a supportive work environment. • Ensure adherence to safety, sanitation, and infection control best practices. What We’re Looking For: • Degree in Nursing with a valid RN license in Wisconsin. • Current BLS/CPR certification required. • Previous experience in wound care and ventilator management preferred. Skills and Competencies: • Proficient in nursing equipment and medical terminology. • Strong leadership qualities and the ability to foster teamwork. • Excellent communication skills with a focus on positive interactions. • Commitment to upholding high standards of care and compliance with regulations. Physical Requirements: • Ability to stand and walk for long periods. • Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs occasionally. • Ability to perform various physical tasks including bending and reaching.
