Position Summary The Registered Nurse (RN) supports the delivery of high-quality patient care through medication administration, health assessments, documentation, and collaboration with providers and clinical staff. This role focuses on stability, monitoring, and supportive care, rather than high-acuity hospital nursing. Key Responsibilities ● Assess and document patient vital signs and overall health status ● Discuss and document patient health concerns in a supportive, trauma-informed manner ● Administer medications as ordered (oral, IM, SQ, SL), including medication supervision as applicable ● Obtain and follow medical provider orders for all medication administration ● Monitor for and document adverse medication reactions; report concerns promptly ● Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) ● Provide basic wound care and health education as needed ● Review, complete, and sign off on patient charts ● Collaborate closely with medical providers, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members ● Maintain compliance with Freeman Recovery Center policies, procedures, and OSHA safety standards ● Complete all required training and continuing education What This Role Is (and Is Not) This role offers: ● Predictable workflows and structured routines ● Lower patient acuity compared to acute-care hospitals ● A team-based environment with strong clinical support ● Meaningful patient interaction and continuity of care This role does not typically involve: ● ICU-level care or emergency response nursing ● High patient turnover or hospital trauma settings Qualifications ● Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing with the State of Tennessee ● Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience preferred ● CPR and First Aid/AED certification required ● Strong documentation and EMR proficiency ● Excellent interpersonal and communication skills ● Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times What We Offer ● Competitive pay (based on experience and shift) ● Stable scheduling options ● Supportive leadership and team culture ● Opportunities to grow within behavioral health and addiction medicine ● A mission-driven organization focused on long-term recovery outcomes Ready to Make a Difference Without the Burnout?
