Registered Nurse-RN Unit Manager Qualifications & Responsibilities:
• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• Current, Unencumbered New Jersey Registered Nurse License
• Minimum of 1 years' experience in a supervisory role in a long-term care setting is preferred
• Licensed Practical Nurse may be considered
• Supervise the nursing staff on assigned shift by monitoring the distribution of medications, blood draws, and other elements of patient care
• Conduct nursing rounds on all units’ multiple times throughout the shift
• Provide education, as needed, to staff, residents and resident family members
• Assess the unique needs of each patient to determine appropriate treatment plans
• Assists in the development of written preliminary and comprehensive assessments of the nursing needs of each resident
• Track treatments and patient progress according to HIPAA guidelines
• Computer knowledge and experience using Point Click Care (PCC)
• Coordinate with supervising physicians to ensure a smooth recovery process for residents
• Ensure staff are performing all duties in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines
• Other duties as assigned by Assistant Director of Nursing, Director of Nursing or Administrator
