The RN coordinates care to achieve desired outcomes, participates in student/family teaching and provides leadership by delegating and working cooperatively in a positive, manner with school personnel, community and various health care agencies in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the school setting. The RN is also accountable to practice in accordance with the Michigan Public Health Code Act 368 of 1978, Article 15 (Health Occupations), Part 172 (Nursing). The RN must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and service appropriate to the age of the students served in his/her area.Pay Range: $64,958.40 - $97,427.20/annuallyEmployment Type: Full Time, 80 hours every 2 weeksSchedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pmRequirements: Graduate of accredited Registered Nursing Program required, Current Michigan RN License (or completed by end of orientation) required, Current BLS for the Healthcare Provider (or completed within 60 days of hire) required, minimum of 2 years nursing experience requiredSTANDARDS OF PROFESSIONAL PRACTICEPromotes patient safety by maintaining the policies and procedures of the hospital and nursing department, including maintaining the Patient's Bill of Rights.
