This Registered Nurse position is critical in ensuring the safety and well-being of a student with a seizure disorder throughout her school day. Position Overview: • Location: Augusta, Maine (Onsite) • Discipline: Registered Nurse (School Nursing) • Duration: Contract through June 10, 2026 • Hours: 24 hours per week, typically from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM on three days per week (specific days to be provided) • Role: Provide direct nursing support accompanying a student with a seizure action plan, assist from bus pickup through the remainder of the school day Responsibilities: • Monitor and support a student with seizures according to her individualized health plan • Assist with mobility using a drop harness and supervise closely to ensure safety during school activities • Collaborate with school staff to maintain a secure and supportive environment for the student daily • Document observations and communicate health status updates as needed Preferred Qualifications: • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license with current credentials • Pediatric or School Nursing experience preferred, with a strong understanding of seizure management in children • Ability to work onsite in a school setting and follow established healthcare protocols • Compassionate, detail-oriented individual capable of working closely with students and school teams This position provides an essential role in supporting a student's health and educational success in a school environment.
