A full-time Registered Nurse (RN) position is available at a K-12 school specializing in education for visually impaired students in Glen Burnie, MD. This contract opportunity supports the health and well-being of students and staff within a specialized school environment dedicated to serving the blind and visually impaired. Responsibilities: • Provide comprehensive nursing care to K-12 students, including assessment, medication administration, and emergency response. • Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers to ensure individualized health plans are implemented. • Monitor chronic conditions and communicate health information effectively. • Maintain accurate health records and comply with state nursing regulations. • Assist with lifting or transferring students as required, including the ability to push/pull up to 100+ pounds and lift up to 50 pounds. • Support overall student safety during school hours and extracurricular activities according to the schedule. Qualifications: • Valid Maryland RN license. • Previous school nursing experience preferred. • Ability to work 35 evening hours Monday through Thursday (3pm11pm) and Friday 12:45pm3:45pm. • Experience working with school-aged children, especially K-12. • Physical capability to handle student care needs requiring strength and mobility. • Strong communication and organizational skills.
