A School Registered Nurse (RN) opportunity is available in Fresno, CA at an elementary school setting. This contract role is designed to provide essential nursing support during a temporary leave and aid in initial Individualized Education Program (IEP) assessments at the preschool level. The assignment runs through the current school year with a commitment of approximately 16 hours per week, ideally spread over two full days weekly.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide professional nursing care and support to students in the elementary school environment.
• Assist with conducting Initial IEPs for preschool students in collaboration with educational teams.
• Support the existing RN during their temporary absence to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain health records and comply with all relevant school health policies and protocols.
• Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and external healthcare providers to promote student health and safety.

Qualifications and Experience:
• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.
• Experience in school nursing, particularly within elementary school or preschool settings.
• Preferred possession of a California School Nurse Services Credential; the district can assist in obtaining this for qualified candidates without the credential.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to student well-being and health education.
