Registered Nurse School Setting - Kingston, PA in Kingston, PA

This contract position offers an opportunity for a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) with a PA license to serve as an Itinerant School Nurse across multiple K-12 schools. The role is based in the Wilkes-Barre, PA area and focuses on providing nursing coverage in elementary, middle, and high school settings, including a specialized Personalized Academy of Learning (PAL) program. Key Responsibilities: • Provide nursing care and triage for student illness, injury, and health concerns across four schools and the PAL program. • Administer daily medications and monitor student health needs at multiple locations. • Serve as the primary nursing resource at the PAL program and offer support at additional school sites by regularly checking in. • Collaborate with school staff to ensure student health and safety in compliance with school policies. Qualifications: • Current Pennsylvania RN license required. • Certified School Nurse (CSN) credential preferred. • Prior experience in school nursing or pediatric healthcare strongly preferred. • Ability to manage a diverse caseload across multiple school settings with professionalism and flexibility. • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, families, and school personnel. Schedule and Location: • Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:20 AM to 2:20 PM. • Itinerant position serving multiple schools in the Wilkes-Barre area. This is a contract role effective as soon as possible through the end of the school year (EOSY). The position offers an hourly rate ranging from $30 to $40 based on qualifications and experience.
