Registered Nurse School Setting - Newark, MD in Newark, MD

This full-time RN position supports an early childhood student in a school setting near Newark, MD. The contract role spans from ASAP through June 11, 2026, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 6:50 am to 3:30 pm. The nurse will provide one-on-one care to a Pre-K student with specialized medical needs, including an open stoma from a removed tracheostomy, PRN oxygen administration, and tube feedings throughout the day. Responsibilities Include • Providing direct nursing care and support to the student under the guidance of the school nurse • Riding the bus to and from school with the student as part of transportation support • Administering medications and tube feedings as required • Completing thorough care logs and documentation for all nursing interventions • Monitoring the students respiratory status and oxygen needs carefully Ideal Candidates Will Have • An active Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact License valid in Maryland • Experience working with pediatric or school-based nursing populations • The ability to perform detailed medical documentation and communicate effectively with school health staff • A compassionate, patient-centered approach with strong organizational skills This contract opportunity is based near Pocomoke City and Berlin, about 30 minutes from Salisbury, MD.
