Registered Nurse School Setting - Stuart, FL in Stuart, FL

A full-time Registered Nurse (RN) position is available to support the health and wellness needs of K-12 students in a Southeast Florida school district. This contract role is ideal for RNs with school nursing experience who are adaptable and thrive in dynamic educational environments. Responsibilities: • Provide skilled nursing care including management of G-tubes, tracheostomies, ventilators, diabetes, seizures, suctioning, diapering, and toileting. • Assist students with activities of daily living (ADLs) and provide 1:1 nursing care when necessary. • Train and delegate tasks to unlicensed assistive personnel (UAP) to ensure proper care standards. • Participate in IEP, 504, and hospital homebound meetings to advocate for student health and coordinate with educational teams. • Cover nursing absences across multiple schools within the district, offering consistent support to meet student needs. • Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with staff, families, and healthcare providers. Qualifications: • Current and active RN licensure through Nursys. • CPR/BLS certification. • Proven experience working with medically fragile students and performing specialized nursing duties. • Reliable transportation to travel throughout the assigned district schools. • Flexibility to work full-time, Monday through Friday, with minimal time off. • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
