The Community Behavioral Health Hospital (CBHH) in Baxter, MN is seeking a Registered Nurse Senior to join a team that is dedicated to providing high quality care. As the Registered Nurse Senior you will provide experienced, professional nursing care and instruction to patients in a hospital setting. The RN Senior will assess the needs of patients; develop individualized nursing plans to meet the needs of the people we serve.

In addition to performing Registered Nurse responsibilities, this position assists the Registered Nurse Supervisor in managing the delivery of high-quality nursing care on their assigned unit.

Responsibilities include:
• Work in collaboration with the RN Supervisor to help ensure compliance with facility policies, program requirements, and regulatory standards
• Act as a resource and provide clinical support and leadership to nursing staff, providing mentorship and teaching as needed
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities as assigned on unit
• Infection control coordinator
• Ensure patient care is provided in a timely, safe, and accurate matter
• Provide nursing care to ensure the physical and emotional needs of each patient are met

Minimum Qualifications
• Current licensure in Minnesota as a Registered Nurse; AND
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing degree, plus two (2) years of experience as a Registered Nurse; OR
• Associate’s degree or diploma in nursing, plus three (3) years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Certification in a relevant specialty area of nursing expertise may substitute for one (1) year of Registered Nurse experience.

Preferred Qualifications
• Ability to evaluate the effectiveness of nursing care provided by other staff, make or recommend changes.
• Nursing experience within a mental health or behavioral health setting.
• Demonstrated knowledge of survey and regulatory compliance (such as CMS, infection prevention and control, incident and investigative reporting).
