Travelers should be prepared to work with students daily. Attendance and punctuality are very important to our unit, and we expect you to be here for your shifts. If there is a shift you are unable to work, we ask that you swap a shift and find coverage instead of calling out. Special Procedures / Unit Details : Cardiac Drips : Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Non-Titratable Milrinone, Heparin, Argatroban. We have a Vascular Access Team, Phlebotomy, as well as an Ambassador team (inter-unit transport). There is an EKG tech who will perform any EKGs needed. There is also a MET Nurse and Rapid Response Team to assist in patient decompensation. Special Equipment : Nihon Koden Monitors, Plum 360 IV Pumps, Kangaroo Feeding Pumps, Chest Tubes, Wound Vacs, Heated High Flow, BiPAP and CPAP, Air TAPS. We do not have ventilators, RT manages HHF, CPAP, and BiPAP #Tier1 Travel Compliance RTO : Must be approved prior to assignment start. Preferably no RTO in the first weeks of assignment. WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS : Expect to work some holidays in rotation with staff, and as otherwise indicated in the assignment confirmation. License : must have compact or VA license in hand Local Radius : 60 miles Local Rule : not accepted Charting : Cerner / Oracle Health experience preferred, not required Certifications : AHA and BLS accepted BSN not required for RN Former perm employees must be separated from Centra for at least one year before they are eligible to return as a traveler FLOATING : Qualivis workers may float in rotation with staff and in accordance with floating policies, as well as the clinical experiences of the worker being asked to float. Policies on floating comply with current standards of The Joint Commission, including the provision of an appropriate orientation to the new unit.
