Job Summary
As a Registered Nurse on our collaborative Medicine Step Down team, you will play a critical role in delivering patient-centered care in a richly diverse environment. Under the guidance of the Nurse Manager, you will utilize evidence-based practices and the nursing process to create tailored care plans that address the holistic needs of patients and their families.
Our Bliss 11 Step Down unit offers 18 beds for patients experiencing complex and acute medical issues including respiratory failure, gastrointestinal bleeding, liver failure, kidney failure, sepsis, withdrawal symptoms, and specialized care for pulmonary hypertension patients. Our unit operates under the supervision of a Critical Care Pulmonologist and is supported 24/7 by a dedicated team of Physician Assistants and Advanced Practice Registered Nurses.

Qualifications
• Current Connecticut RN License prior to Orientation.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school (BSN required).
• BLS certification by the American Heart Association required prior to Orientation.
