Qualifications:
• Associate's Degree (ADN) or above in nursing
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
• 1 year experience in stepdown/progressive, neurology, cardiac, or another medium to high acuity setting preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association
• Strong skills in hemodynamic monitoring, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and other advanced nursing care practices
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems
Responsibilities:
• Provide specialized care for patients with medium to high acuity needs, closely monitoring vital signs, IV drips, and other key indicators.
• Administer medications and implement complex treatment plans, ensuring accurate and prompt execution of medical orders.
• Collaborate proficiently with physicians, respiratory therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on managing acute or chronic conditions, including the proper use of equipment like BiPAP/CPAP/Home Oxygen and vital sign or blood sugar monitors.
• Maintain timely and accurate patient records, adhering to hospital and departmental policies and regulations.
