Duties Description As Registered Nurse Supervisor 1 Psychiatric, you will supervise and coordinate the activities of assigned nursing and direct care staff including: • Directing and reviewing the work of nursing staff • Preparing and monitoring staffing schedules • Developing daily staffing plans for nursing care • Ensuring compliance with established standards of nursing care in accordance with State, federal, and accreditation agency requirements Minimum Qualifications New York City Children's Center is recruiting a Registered Nurse Supervisor 1 Psychiatric to supervise registered nurses and direct care. Candidates from outside or within State Service can apply. Minimum Qualifications: Candidates from outside and within State Service may be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement - Statewide (NY HELPS) program as a Registered Nurse Supervisor 1 Psychiatric if they have: • License and current registration as a registered professional nurse in New York State, and • 3 years of post-licensure clinical nursing experience working with individuals diagnosed with mental illness, addiction, or substance use disorders. Substitution: Bachelor’s degree in nursing can substitute for 1 year of post-licensure clinical nursing experience; and a master’s degree in nursing can substitute for 2 years of post-licensure clinical nursing experience. OR Candidates from within State Service can be considered for a competitive class appointment if they are reachable on the current Nurse Administrator 1 Psychiatric or Nurse Administrator 2 Psychiatric eligible list. OR Candidates from within State service may be considered for transfer to a competitive class position if they have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. Additional Comments: Posted hiring rate includes the sum of the statutory hiring rate for PS&T Grade 22 ($82,326), an Increase Hiring Rate ($10,852), Geographic Pay Differential ($35,000) and Downstate Adjustment ($4,000). The posted job rate is the sum of the statutory job rate ($10,230), Geographic Pay Differential ($35,000) and Downstate Adjustment ($4,000). Additional compensation may apply based on shift assignment. 7% shift differential for evening shift. 10% shift differential for night shift. This position is is for all the transitional Living Residences.
