As a Level 1 Trauma Center, we provide cutting-edge treatment to our patients, thanks to our position as home to the largest robotic surgery center in the Northeast and the Center for Education, Simulation and Innovation (CESI), a pioneering medical simulation training center.

The Surgical-Trauma Intensive Care Unit is a 14-bed unit specializing in critical care for diverse patient populations, including those with motor vehicle trauma, orthopedic injuries, and transplant needs. Our dedicated team is led by a Surgical-Trauma Intensivist and includes Physician Assistants, Advanced Practice Registered Nurses, Registered Nurses (RNs), and surgical house staff physicians.

Job Summary

Our Registered Nurses (RNs) in Critical Care are highly trained professionals providing expertise and compassionate care at the bedside. We emphasize a team-based approach, aiming for the best patient outcomes guided by Hartford Healthcare's values of Safety, Excellence, Integrity, and Caring.

Qualifications
• Current Connecticut RN License.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school (BSN Required).
• BLS certification by the American Heart Association and proof of Arrhythmia Certification required prior to date of hire.
• A minimum of one year of Acute Care Registered Nurse (RN) experience is strongly preferred.
• Experienced ASN/ADN nurses may be considered in exceptional circumstances.
• Graduate Nurses are encouraged to apply through the Critical Care Graduate Nurse Program.
