Key Responsibilities:
• Patient Monitoring: Continuously monitor patients' vital signs, EKG rhythms, and cardiac activity using Telemetry equipment.
• Assessment and Documentation: Perform thorough assessments of patients' conditions, document observations, and maintain accurate medical records.
• Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols and physician orders.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with healthcare team members, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and other nurses, to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Patient Education: Provide patients and their families with education on cardiac conditions, medications, and lifestyle modifications to promote optimal recovery and disease management.
• Emergency Response: Respond promptly to changes in patient condition, initiate appropriate interventions, and alert healthcare providers as necessary.
• Quality Care: Adhere to evidence-based practice guidelines and participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
• Technology Proficiency: Maintain proficiency in operating Telemetry equipment and other medical devices used in cardiac monitoring.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, as well as hospital policies and procedures.
• Ethical Practice: Uphold the highest ethical and professional standards in patient care and interactions with colleagues. Qualifications:
• Current Multi-State Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing and able to work in KY and IN.
• American Heart BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• NIH Stroke Scale Course (Through ASA) required
• Minimum 2 years of recent impatient short term acute care nursing experience in Telemetry.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
