The Adult Crisis Stabilization Unit is a 22-bed unit offering a highly focused crisis intervention model for the treatment of major mental illnesses where the average length of stay is 8 days. As a Registered Nurse/RN you will: • Perform a full range of professional psychiatric nursing services, including assessing, planning, administering, and evaluating patient care in accordance with team treatment plans. • Administer medical treatment as prescribed by physician. • Teach and provide psychosocial support to patients and their families. • Provide day-to-day clinical direction to assigned Mental Health Workers or other paraprofessional staff. • Document and report patient progress to treatment team. Requirements: • Must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Maryland (or compact state) at time of appointment and continuously while in position. • Experience in a psychiatric nursing setting preferred. • Comprehensive knowledge of nursing-acquired through at least one year of inpatient RN experience; prior LPN inpatient experience will be considered with every one year of LPN experience equating to 6 months RN experience • Weekends/holidays • All new clinical staff will begin their extended clinical orientation/training immediately following your first day of employment. The pay range for this position is $37.08 minimum to $56.83 maximum. Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors, including but not limited to, years and level of related experience.
