Registered Nurse - Transfer Center in Bossier City, LA

Summary:

As a skilled Registered Nurse with experience in clinical settings, you will operate independently while demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of relevant patient care situations. You will be responsible for providing both routine and complex care, focusing on long-term goals and effectively managing contingencies. In this role, you will assign and delegate tasks to other healthcare providers to ensure optimal clinical management.

Responsibilities:
• Exceed expectations in applying the OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Provide nursing care in accordance with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, utilizing the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families appropriate to your practice level.
• Administer medications and treatments as per protocols, monitoring for efficacy and side effects.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and thoroughly.
• Assess patient and family education needs and offer guidance and resources to facilitate understanding and care.

Job Requirements:

Education/Skills
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred

Experience
• Preferred: 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
• BLS certification required
• Current RN License in the state of employment or compact

Work Schedule:

12-hour shifts from 6 PM to 6 AM.
