RN Unit Manager
Fairview Nursing and Rehab – Pennsylvania
Fairview Nursing and Rehab is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to join our leadership team as an RN Unit Manager. This role is ideal for a motivated nurse leader who is passionate about delivering high-quality resident care while supporting and developing nursing staff in a long-term care setting.
Position Overview
The RN Unit Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of an assigned nursing unit, ensuring excellent clinical outcomes, staff performance, and resident satisfaction. This position works closely with interdisciplinary teams to promote quality care and compliance with all regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
• Oversee daily operations of the nursing unit, including supervision of nursing staff and resident care
• Support clinical development of staff and provide education to residents and families as needed
• Utilize the nursing process to meet residents’ clinical and psychosocial needs
• Demonstrate strong clinical judgment and critical thinking in identifying and addressing care issues
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure quality outcomes
• Monitor, document, and report changes in resident condition in accordance with facility policies
• Ensure compliance with medication administration, safety protocols, and infection control practices
• Promote effective communication and teamwork among nursing staff and other departments
• Apply policies and procedures consistently and fairly
• Ensure accurate, timely documentation in residents’ medical records and address compliance concerns promptly
• Facilitate effective shift-to-shift handoffs and communication
• Ensure timely implementation of physician orders and notification of providers regarding changes in resident condition
• Communicate necessary updates to residents’ families or responsible parties
Qualifications
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Clinical experience in long-term care preferred
• Prior supervisory or administrative experience a plus
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to lead with professionalism, diplomacy, and confidence
