Job Description We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Unit Manager. This full-time position plays a vital role in providing high-quality care within our skilled nursing and rehabilitation community. Key Responsibilities: • Lead and manage the day-to-day clinical operations of the unit to ensure high-quality, person-centered care. • Supervise nursing staff and daily activities according to federal, state, and local regulations, as well as facility policies. • Collaborate with the care team to develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans. • Oversee staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure efficient unit operations. • Provide mentorship, support, and training to nursing staff, fostering professional growth. • Conduct rounds and assessments to maintain quality standards and compliance with policies. • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams to support care goals. • Act as the administrative authority during assigned shifts and make key decisions when necessary. • Collaborate with leadership on performance improvement initiatives and quality assurance activities. • Ensure accurate documentation of resident care and staff activities. • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to align unit practices with organizational goals. • Support onboarding, orientation, and evaluations of nursing staff. • Create a safe and respectful environment promoting resident well-being and staff engagement. Qualifications: • Valid, unrestricted RN license in Connecticut. • Graduate of an accredited college nursing program. • Current CPR/BLS certification as required by facility policy. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively. • Strong organizational, analytical, and time-management skills. • Compassionate, resident-centered approach with effective multitasking abilities. • Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred. • Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English. • Ability to work independently and serve as a resource and leader for the unit.
