Registered Nurse Unit Manager (RN)
Job Summary of Registered Nurse Unit Manager (RN):
An adept RN / LPN Unit Manager is required at the Centers Health Care to supervise and manage nursing activities. This position comes with daily compensation and allows for the direction of a committed team to maintain superior resident care in a supportive environment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Registered Nurse Unit Manager (RN):
• Perform clerical functions by finishing medical paperwork, reports, assessments, investigations, and keeping documentation.
• Provide guidance and direction to licensed and unlicensed staff, encompassing counseling sessions, disciplinary actions, performance reviews, training initiatives, and overall personnel supervision.
• Control and assess quality assurance initiatives to monitor the performance of the nursing unit.
• Ensure nursing services are aligned with other resident services to maintain a cohesive approach to care delivery.
• Make decisions based on your own assessment of the circumstances.
• Communicate and engage with staff, residents, families, visitors, government agencies, and the public in a tactful and considerate manner.
• Follow nursing and medical standards, procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines that are relevant to the context of long-term care environments.
• Support and oversee staff members to promote collaboration and a harmonious work environment.
Qualifications and Experience of Registered Nurse Unit Manager (RN):
• Ongoing license as an RN or LPN in the state of practice.
• Ideally, candidates will have a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a hospital, long-term care facility, or a related healthcare setting.
• - Conclusion of higher educational studies; aptitude to read, write, and understand oral and written commands.
• Capacity to consistently meet attendance requirements and scheduling obligations.
• Able to be flexible with shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends if necessary.
