Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Registered Nurse - Unit Manager to lead and oversee nursing operations within a busy healthcare facility. This vital role combines clinical expertise with leadership skills to ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care across diverse units. As a Unit Manager, you will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage patient assessments, and uphold compliance with healthcare standards such as HIPAA, and OSHA regulations. Your energetic approach will inspire staff, improve patient outcomes, and foster a positive environment for both patients and team members.
Duties
• Lead and supervise nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Oversee patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and medical documentation using EMR systems.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care plans for patients with complex needs such as dementia care, behavioral health issues, or long-term care requirements.
• Ensure adherence to infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and safety procedures including sterile processing and catheter care.
• Manage medication administration, IV infusion procedures, tube feeding management, and basic life support during emergencies.
• Facilitate discharge planning to optimize patient outcomes and resource use.
• Maintain accurate medical records, laboratory results, medical imaging reports, and ensure documentation aligns with regulatory standards.
Experience
• Demonstrated supervisory or nurse management experience leading multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced settings.
• Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including experience with ICD-9/10 coding is essential.
• Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology related to medication administration and pain management.
• Experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics or memory care units.
• Skilled in patient assessment techniques such as vital signs measurement, physical examinations, specimen collection/processing and diagnostic evaluation.
• Familiarity with specialized procedures like catheterization, venipuncture (phlebotomy), suturing or gastrostomy tube feeding is preferred.

Pay: $83,000.00 - $89,000.00 per year
