Position Overview As a Registered Nurse in Urology, you will work under the guidance of nursing leadership and collaborate with providers to utilize evidence-based practices that align with the State Nurse Practice Act and Hartford Healthcare policies. This role will allow you to provide exemplary care to a diverse population of patients across various clinical settings, addressing their physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs. You will primarily provide coverage at both the Norwich and Waterford Urology offices. • Deliver nursing care within a non-acute setting, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to meet patients' holistic needs. • Coordinate and provide patient-centered care tailored to individual requirements. • Implement evidence-based practices in accordance with departmental and medical group policies, ensuring safe, high-quality care and exceptional customer service. • Incorporate the principles of art, advocacy, science, and ethics into your nursing practice. • Support and engage in research initiatives to enhance evidence-based practices. • Evaluate and review patient care plans with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for patients and families. • Document problems and expected outcomes reliably as per the plan of care for a varied patient population. Qualifications Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, with an Associate's degree in Nursing preferred. BSN is a plus. Successful completion of nurse residency, if applicable. Experience: A minimum of one year of clinical experience, including at least 1000 hours as a licensed registered nurse. Licensure, Certification, Registration: Must hold a Registered Nurse license in the State of Connecticut, along with certification as a BLS Provider from the American Heart Association (AHA).
