Registered Nurse - Women's Services (Full-Time) in Pecos, NM

POSITION SUMMARY: Join our dedicated team as a Clinical Nurse, specializing in Women's Services. As a Registered Nurse, you will coordinate and implement patient care tailored to the specific needs of our diverse patient population. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing. CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: Hold a current RN license, either in New Mexico or a Compact state. BLS Certification is required within 2 weeks of your hire date. All other certifications must be secured within 6 months of hire. If you already hold the necessary certifications upon hiring, you are responsible for maintaining them continuously. SKILLS: • Knowledge and skills relevant to the age and type of patients served. • Respect for patient rights and needs in all care delivery. • Clear and concise communication tailored to the developmental age of the patient. EXPERIENCE: Relevant nursing experience is beneficial. NATURE OF SUPERVISION: • Responsible to: Patient Care Director or Manager ENVIRONMENT: • Exposure to bloodborne pathogens (varying tiers depending on department). • Working conditions include exposure to infectious diseases and x-rays. This role is situated in a clean, well-lit, smoke-free environment, although you may encounter stressful professional interactions. Flexibility in working hours is essential to adapt to unpredictable changes and emergencies. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: You must be capable of handling emergencies with proficiency. This position involves prolonged standing and walking, extensive physical effort in moving patients or equipment, and requires abilities such as reaching, bending, and crouching. You should possess good manual dexterity and visual acuity, with the capacity to distinguish different colors and maintain normal hearing levels.
