What You'll Do:

As a Wound Care Nurse, your key responsibilities will include:
• Overseeing and providing expert guidance on wound care and prevention programs for residents and staff.
• Conducting thorough wound assessments and developing tailored care plans for patients with skin complications.
• Delivering direct wound care interventions such as dressing changes, debridement, and wound irrigation.
• Updating and directing the implementation of wound care policies and procedures.
• Monitoring the healing progress of wounds and evaluating treatment effectiveness.
• Educating residents, families, and staff on wound care protocols and prevention strategies.
• Collaborating with physicians, wound care specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
• Maintaining accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes for compliance and reimbursement purposes.

What You'll Bring:
• A valid state RN nursing license.
• A degree in nursing, epidemiology, biology, or microbiology is preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in wound care management, ideally in a Long-Term Care setting.
• Familiarity with research-backed wound care and cleansing products.
• A Certified Wound Care Nurse (CWCN) certification is preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, organization, and critical thinking skills.
• Compassion and empathy for residents with complex wound care needs.
• An interest in the nursing needs of the aged and chronically ill.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
