Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
• Deliver comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic or Cerner.
• Administer medications and injections accurately while adhering to aseptic techniques and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient safety and confidentiality.
• Assist with diagnostic procedures such as catheterization, suturing, venipuncture, phlebotomy, and specimen collection/processing.
• Manage airway support with ventilator care and provide acute pain management for patients in emergency room, ICU, or trauma settings.
• Support patients with complex needs including dialysis, hospice & palliative medicine, Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, and behavioral health.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for discharge planning, case management, and long-term care coordination across settings like assisted living facilities or nursing homes.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation of patient care activities while ensuring compliance with medical terminology standards and ICD coding practices (ICD-9/10).
Qualifications
• Valid RN or LPN license in good standing; additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred.
• Proven experience in diverse clinical environments including hospital medicine, emergency medicine, outpatient clinics, or home care.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks for documentation and patient management.
• Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, infection control protocols, and medical terminology.
• Experience with specialized procedures like IV infusion/insertion, tube feeding management, ostomy care, gastrostomy tube management or spinal tap procedures is highly desirable.
• Ability to work effectively with people of all ages—including pediatrics and geriatrics—and those with disabilities or developmental challenges.
• Critical care experience including trauma center or Level I/II trauma center background is advantageous.
