• Education & Professional Development: Design, coordinate, deliver, and evaluate Cancer Center education, orientation, and in-service programs in compliance with Joint Commission, federal, and state standards; maintain all training and competency records.
• Project & Program Leadership: Lead the full project lifecycle including planning, execution, communication, delegation, change management, and use of best-practice project management tools; build and sustain relationships critical to project success.
• Operations & Staff Supervision: Assist with daily Cancer Center operations, resource coordination, staff development, supply/equipment selection, and regulatory compliance; provide guidance on ethical issues and serve as a project or policy implementation lead.
• Clinical & Nursing Care Excellence: Deliver and oversee high-quality, patient-centered oncology nursing care, including assessment, treatment, documentation, education, pain management, safety, infection control, and coordination across departments.
• Leadership, Quality & Compliance: Serve as a clinical role model and subject-matter expert; ensure adherence to policies, confidentiality, accreditation requirements, performance improvement initiatives, cost containment, and continuous professional competency development.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Graduated from an accredited school of nursing as demonstrated by the possession of a license to practice as a professional nurse in the State of Hawaii. While not required, graduation from an accredited nursing program with a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university is highly desirable.
Experience: One and one-half (1 ½) year of professional nursing work experience.
Supervisory aptitude is the demonstration of aptitude or potential for the performance of supervisory duties through successful completion of regular or special assignments which involve some supervisory responsibilities or aspects; by serving as a group or team leader; or in similar work in which opportunities for demonstrating supervisory or administrative capabilities exist; by completion of training courses in supervision accompanied by application of supervisory skills in work assignments; or by favorable appraisals by a supervisor indicating the possession of supervisory potential.
Possession of the required number of years of experience will not in itself be accepted as proof of qualification for a position. The applicant's overall experience must have been of such scope and level of responsibility as to conclusively demonstrate that he/she has the ability to perform the duties of the position for which he/she is being considered.
Certification: BLS certification required within one (1) month of appointment. OCN certification preferred.
Licensure: Possession of a current license to practice as a professional nurse in the State of Hawaii.

• Rates listed for paid holidays, vacation and sick days are for 1.0 Full Time Equivalent (FTE) positions assigned to 8 hour shifts. Accruals for these benefits are otherwise prorated based on FTE.
Pre-Employment Health Requirements
Offers of employment will be contingent on successfully passing a pre-employment examination, which includes a drug screen and other regulatory medical requirements such as, but not limited to, a tuberculosis (TB) screen. The cost for drug screening and blood draw for QuantiFERON and Titers, shall be borne by the Hawaii Health Systems Corporation.
