A nursing professional is sought to provide care for cardiac telemetry patients at a well-equipped hospital in Fort Wayne, IN. This contract opportunity focuses on managing complex cardiac cases including A-Fib RVR, chest pain, CHF, and med-surg patients needing close telemetry monitoring. The role offers day shifts from 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. with every other weekend rotation and an option for block scheduling. Responsibilities include interpreting telemetry strips, administering cardiac medications (oral, IV push, and IV drip), conducting thorough patient assessments, delivering bedside shift reports, and maintaining patient safety in a 24-bed unit. The patient ratio is approximately 1:5 or 1:6. Qualifications and Experience: • Current Indiana RN license • BLS and ACLS certifications • Minimum of 2 years experience in telemetry nursing • Proficient in interpreting cardiac telemetry and managing cardiac medications • Skilled in patient charting and safety protocols • Ability to float as needed • Familiarity with Cerner EMR system Schedule: • 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. day shifts • Every other weekend rotation • Required to work holidays if scheduled unless covered by regular staff This assignment is for 13 weeks and requires telehealth nurses located more than 50 miles from the facility (local candidates are not eligible).
