Job Description
A nursing role is available on a specialized Telemetry Stepdown unit focused on cardiac care. This contract position offers an opportunity to apply your clinical expertise in a dynamic environment where teamwork and patient-centered care are paramount. The unit is dedicated to recovery and monitoring of patients with complex cardiac conditions, including those recovering from vascular and electrophysiology procedures, as well as those experiencing acute myocardial infarction, cardiac arrhythmias, syncope, cardiomyopathy, and heart failure.

Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive nursing care based on biological, physical, behavioral, and social sciences to patients requiring cardiac monitoring.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in alignment with evidence-based practices and unit protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to promote an ongoing partnership between patients, families, and providers.
• Administer intravenous medication titration and assist with conscious sedation during cardioversions.
• Maintain adherence to the American Nursing Association (ANA) Code of Ethics and Ohio Nurse Practice Act.
• Utilize advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and ECG interpretation skills to monitor patient cardiac status.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Ohio.
• Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Successful completion of an ECG interpretation course.
• Experience or strong interest in cardiac telemetry and stepdown care.
• Ability to provide culturally competent and age-specific care.
