Registered Telemetry Unit Nurse | Hazard, Kentucky in Hazard, KY

Provide critical care and patient management on the medical-surgical and telemetry unit, focusing on short-stay and observation patients. Work as a key member of the team delivering quality nursing care with appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios ranging from 1:6 to 1:7. Qualifications And Desired Experience • Current RN licensure and experience in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing • BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and NIH Stroke Scale certification required • Ability to manage a patient load of up to 7, including short-stay and observation cases • Flexibility to float to other units as needed • Willingness to adhere to a consistent 36/48 schedule across a two-week pay period • Residence within 100 miles of the location is required • Strong communication and organizational skills to meet orientation and assignment confirmation timelines Responsibilities And Duties • Deliver comprehensive nursing care on MS/Telemetry and observation units • Monitor and respond to patient conditions according to established protocols • Maintain accurate patient records and participate in interdisciplinary team communication • Support unit operations, including floating during low census periods • Comply with facility policies such as holiday scheduling and call-in procedures Location:Situated in Hazard, Kentucky, this role offers the opportunity to provide care in a regional medical center known for serving a diverse patient population in a supportive community environment.
