Job Description
This opportunity is ideal for a skilled Registered Nurse with neuro stepdown and cardiac telemetry experience seeking a night shift position in a specialized Intermediate Care Unit (IMC). The role centers on delivering expert care to adult patients in a 24-bed IMC, requiring proficiency in managing complex cardiovascular and neurological cases within a supportive team environment.
Responsibilities include administering IV starts, port access, PICC, central and peripheral line care, and blood product administration. The role demands advanced respiratory care skills such as tracheostomy management, oxygen delivery via multiple devices, chest tube care, ABG interpretation, and non-invasive respiratory support. Additional duties involve feeding tube management, medication administration including PCA and procedural sedation, and careful monitoring of cardiac and vasoactive drips (without titration). You will also engage in wound care including wound vac management, isolation procedures, renal failure care, and support for pre/post hemodialysis patients. Responding swiftly as part of the rapid response team is also expected. Floating to other units within competencies may be required.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Active SC or multistate nursing license
• Minimum 2 years experience in neuro stepdown and cardiac telemetry nursing
• Certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required
• Proficient with EPIC electronic medical records (at least 1 year)
• Skilled in telemetry interpretation, dysrhythmia management, and cardiac cath care
• Ability to manage IV access lines and advanced respiratory support devices
Location: Hopkins, South Carolina

Schedule:
• Nights, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM 7:30 AM)
• Weekend rotation every other weekend
This contract position excludes first-time travelers and requires local candidates to meet radius criteria. Flexibility in scheduling requests is considered with prior approval.
