Job Description
Deliver specialized care as a Registered Nurse in a cardiac telemetry stepdown setting, focusing on patients recovering from vascular and electrophysiology procedures. This contract role requires applying advanced nursing knowledge to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, supporting both individual and family partnerships in treatment. The care delivered is culturally sensitive and age-appropriate, guided by professional ethical standards and state nursing regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor and care for cardiac patients post-procedure, including acute myocardial infarction, arrhythmias, syncope, cardiomyopathy, and heart failure cases.
• Manage and titrate intravenous medications and provide conscious sedation for cardioversion procedures.
• Utilize expertise in ECG interpretation and maintain current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to promote comprehensive, patient-centered care.
Qualifications or Desired Experience:
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• ACLS certification.
• Completion of an ECG interpretation course.
• Experience or interest in cardiac telemetry and stepdown nursing.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, specialized cardiac care environment.
