Job Description
Deliver advanced, specialized nursing care in a dynamic trauma surgical unit dedicated to acute care trauma, orthopedic, and urology patients. This role involves working within a collaborative, interdisciplinary team to meet each patients unique needs, ensuring comprehensive and personalized care throughout their hospital stay.

Responsibilities:
• Provide high-level nursing care to trauma and surgical patients with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio.
• Collaborate closely with family practice physicians, hospitalists, and surgical specialists.
• Float to other units and hospitals as needed to support patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient safety standards.
• Work holidays as required and every other weekend per scheduling needs.
Qualifications:
• Associate degree in nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse license in Alabama or a Compact license (temporary licenses not accepted).
• Certification in AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and OR Red Cross.
• At least 2 years of nursing experience, including a minimum of 1 year in trauma, orthopedic, or surgical specialty (18 months experience considered if under highest professional license).
• Valid registration with NURSYS.
Job Type: Contract with options for 36 or 48 hours per week.
Schedule:
• Holidays as required.
• Every other weekend.
