An experienced Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) is needed for night shifts at a well-established acute care hospital located in OFallon, MO. This role offers a dynamic nursing environment with a focus on adult and geriatric care, including neuro/stroke care, post-cath lab management, and general surgery patients. The position is contract-based with a schedule of three 12-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM), including every third weekend. Flexibility is required as you will float between two nearby locations as needed. Key Responsibilities: • Provide comprehensive telemetry nursing care with an average patient census of 16. • Monitor and manage adult and geriatric patients including those requiring neuro/stroke, wound care, diabetic care, and post-surgical management. • Assist with post-cath lab care and support general surgery and oral surgery patients. • Utilize EPIC charting effectively for accurate and timely documentation. • Adhere to nursing protocols following NIH, ACLS, and BCLS requirements. • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes in a fast-paced setting. Qualifications and Experience: • Current RN license with at least 2 years telemetry nursing experience. • Experience with EPIC electronic health records. • Certification in NIH Stroke Scale, ACLS, and BCLS mandatory. • Comfortable working night shifts and floating between hospital locations. • Previous experience working with adult and geriatric populations, including stroke and neuro patients.
