Job Description
A nursing professional with rehabilitation expertise is needed to support individuals recovering from disability or chronic illness in a contract role located in Lapwai, ID. This position focuses on maximizing patient function and fostering adaptation to lifestyle changes in both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation settings. The nurse will create and implement treatment plans grounded in scientific nursing principles that promote physical, psychosocial, and spiritual well-being.
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
• Current RN license in Idaho or multi-state compact license (must be attached to resume)
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (must be attached)
• Minimum of 2 years acute rehabilitation nursing experience in a hospital setting
• Strong understanding of rehabilitation nursing theory and patient-centered care
Responsibilities:
• Assist patients and families in adapting to altered lifestyles while providing a supportive and therapeutic environment
• Design and implement individualized treatment strategies to optimize self-care and functional recovery
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in acute to subacute rehab settings
• Monitor patient progress and adjust nursing care plans accordingly
