A Registered Nurse (RN) with expertise in Rehabilitation and Long-Term Care is needed to provide exceptional medical-surgical nursing in a specialized rehab setting. This assignment focuses on patients who are recovering from surgery, serious illness, or injury, assisting them in regaining function and independence through a collaborative approach involving physical, occupational, and speech therapies along with specialized nursing care. Key Responsibilities: • Coordinate comprehensive nursing care for patients in an inpatient rehab setting • Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to maintain high standards of professional nursing practice • Participate actively in patient and family education to promote recovery and well-being • Serve as backup Charge Nurse when required, providing leadership and support to nursing staff • Utilize EMR systems efficiently, with Cerner being used in this facility • Maintain awareness of patient-to-nurse ratios, typically 1:4 or 1:5, to ensure quality care Qualifications and Desired Experience: • Current and valid RN licensure with experience in rehab or long-term care nursing • Strong skills in medical-surgical nursing combined with rehabilitation nursing principles • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team • Reliable transportation is essential due to limited public transit options in the community • Must commit to a consistent schedule with limited time off (maximum of 5 days during assignment) Location: Springfield, Vermont offers a charming small-town atmosphere characterized by scenic surroundings and a close-knit community.
