Rehabilitation Nurse - Weekend Night Shift in Wareham, MA

Join our dynamic Inpatient Rehab team at Albany Medical Center! We are seeking a dedicated weekend track night Registered Nurse to make a significant impact on patients' recovery journeys. As a Rehabilitation Nurse, you will play a crucial role in supporting patients as they adjust to chronic illnesses or injuries. Your responsibilities will include creating personalized care plans, educating caregivers, and coordinating with various healthcare professionals, including physical and occupational therapists. Key Responsibilities: • Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments and special tests, and document all care as per policies and regulations. • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patients' conditions effectively. • Continuously assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care provided. • Utilize sound nursing judgment in the management and decision-making for patient care. • Provide primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses. • Administer over-the-counter and prescription medications as needed. • Collaborate with the nursing team to develop comprehensive Care Plans for all patients. • Guide and support ancillary staff while maintaining high nursing standards. Minimum Qualifications: • Graduate from an accredited nursing program resulting in a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree. • Current NYS Registered Nurse license required. • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is a must. • 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care is preferred. • Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills. • Familiarity with quality improvement concepts and ability to apply them effectively in patient care.
